Lernen ist ein kontinuierlicher Prozess zur Gewinnung von Wissen und Fertigkeiten. Diesen Prozess dürfen wir nicht verlangsamen, denn das Leben selbst wird nicht aufhören uns neue Aspekte zu geben. Lernen ist wichtig für unser Wachstum - insbesondere im Business. "Für mich ist das Niederschreiben von Gedanken und Ideen ein kreativer Prozess, in welchem ich die Logik meiner Argumenten reflektieren kann. Indem diese Ideen vorgetragen werden, werden Diskussionen im Netzwerk ausgelöst - durch das Feedback erfahre ich viel über meine Ideen und Schlussfolgerungen. Schließlich arbeite ich gerne mit jungen Talenten, weil sie genauso besonders sind, wie jeder andere in dieser Welt - was sie auch erfahren sollten."

Learning new things is important for our growth - especially for our professional life. "For me writing down thoughts and ideas is a creative process that focuses myself on proving the logic of my arguments behind the ideas. By talking about business you initialize discussions with your network and learn about your own ideas by the feedback you receive. Finally I like to work with young talent because they are just as special as everyone else in the world - and it is essential for them to realise that."

Seit 2003 ist Professor Andreßen ein aktives Mitglied im Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. Von 2008 bis zu seinem Umzug nach Kanada im Jahr 2013 war er im Vorstand der BME Region Hamburg. Seit 2019 ist er Chairman auf dem European Procurement Excellence Summit (EPE) des BME. Seit 2021 ist er Mitglied im Advisory Board des IDC-European Future of Operations Digital Summit. Insgesamt hat Dr. Andreßen seit Abschluss seiner Promotion in über 70 Veranstaltung präsentiert und moderiert.

Since 2003 Thomas is an active Member of the Association of for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME e.V.). Between 2008 and his move to Canada in 2013 Thomas served as a Board Member of the BME section Hamburg. In 2019 Thomas moderated as the Chairman the "European Procurement Excellence Summit (EPE)" of the BME. Since 2021 he is member of the Advisory Board of "IDC-European Future of Operations Digital Summit". After finishing his doctorate Thomas presented and moderated on more than 70 events.

Während seiner Promotionszeit an der Universität Kiel unterrichtete Professor Andreßen "Business Basics" und "Cost Controlling" am Institut für Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Nach abgeschossener Promotion in 2005 unterrichtete er parallel zu seiner beruflichen Tätigkeit (am Abend / am Wochenende) an verschiedenen Hochschulen und Institutionen in den Bereichen Innovation, Digitalisierung, Supply Chain/Logistik, Einkauf und Controlling. Seit 2022 vertritt er als Professor die Gebiete Supply Chain Management und ERP-Systeme in der Wirtschaftsinformatik.

During his doctorate at the University Kiel Thomas gave lectures in Business Basics and Cost Controlling. After completing his doctorate in 2005, he taught parallel to his professional activity (in the evening / on the weekend) at various Universities and Institutes, focussing on Innovation, Digital, Supply Chain/Logistics, Procurement and Controlling. As a Professor he teaches Supply Chain Management and ERP-Systems in Business Informatics since 2022.
